See a little seagull
On a marble stand
Trying to find the ocean
Lookin' everywhere
Hard times in the city
In a hard town by the sea
Ain't nowhere to run to
There ain't nothin' here for free
Copper on the corner
Waiting for a train
Drunk lyin' on the sidewalk
Sleeping in the rain
Good people hide their faces
And they hide their eyes
‘Cause the city's dying
And they don't know why
Baltimore
Ain't it hard just to live
Baltimore
Ain't it hard just to live, just to live
Get my sister Sandy and my little brother Ray
Buy a big old wagon to haul us all away
Live out in the country
Where the mountain's high
Never comin' back here 'til the day I die
Baltimore
Ain't it hard just to live
Baltimore
Ain't it hard just to live, just to live
Just to live
Hard just to live
Hard just to live
Hard just to live
Hard just to live
Hard just to live
Hard just to live
Baltimore
Baltimore

(Ride with the flow)
Seasons come, season go (But the constant is I and I)
Seasons come, season go (The only constant is I and I)
Loving one lifts the soul
Trust in one, feel the flow
Everyday we die a little
In this life we must try to empathize a little
Carry the spirit on
Dreams become the wand
Between night’s dreams and conscious thoughts
That’s where we belong, that’s where we belong
Where we belong
Seasons come, season go (But the constant is I and I)
Loving one lifts the soul (The only constant is I and I)
The lessons come
There’s still so much to know
Hard day’s work is done
The evening soothes my soul
No questions or answers I need to know
Just feel my way through, ride with the flow
Ride with the flow
Seasons come, season go (But the constant is I and I)
Seasons come, season go (The only constant is I and I)
Loving one lifts the soul
Trust in one feel the flow (The only constant is I and I)
(Ride with the flow)

My way of loving you
Is like bullets in the rain
Ain't a single place to hide
I'll always see you again
You should really stop
Denyin' yourself
Of the sweeter things in life
That can't be bought with wealth
Cuz we're a priceless gift
Undefined by reason
You should know
Uncontrolled by seasons
I'd bleed myself
Into a eastern ocean
Turn the world red
To express my devotion
Cuz loving you is like
Everyday sacred
If only you could see that
Maybe we could make it
I feel like I'm hanging in the coldest breeze
At the whim of your emotion
I'm apt to freeze
Become the queen of pain
With an ice dusted throne
To freeze the sting
Of the passion I own
365
We equal 360
I hope you know
Cuz cuz
'Cause you and me were meant to be, destiny
Truth complete, you and me, destiny
Wanting you is like the
Sun behind the clouds
Endlessly burning
Silent and proud
Perhaps me, I'm just
Deceiving myself
I should be running away
To try to save myself
Cuz the world is crazy
It's a dangerous place
To love these days
And keep the faith
The taste of my desire
Is truly bittersweet
Having no satisfaction
But with no defeat
Wanting you is like
Half of completion
Knowing what I need
But it's out of my reach 'n'
I'm constantly breathin'
With a pain in my chest
Like I'm condemned to roam, in a zone
With no rest
I confess I'm strung out
Addicted to believin'
That you might one day
Kiss my tears because you've seen
That I love you
You're necessary as breath
You should know
Cuz, cuz, cuz
'Cause you and me were meant to be, destiny
Truth complete, you and me, destiny
Needing you is like
Hunger with no name
Endlessly aching with
No words to explain
Suffering, simply
It's become a meditation
That exists solely to soothe
And inspire my patience
Some days I awaken
Thinking
To love you like I do
In some way I've been forsaken
I dutifully pray
Never missing a word
To my Milagras and candles
Hoping I'm heard
Cuz I can't see
Leaving this earth
Without some kind of relief
How long can it hurt?
I send out this message
A prayer in song form
That you will one day
Love me back to being warm
You just need to understand
Some things are in stone
And in God's eyes
I'm sure we belong
Together
That's not in the control of us
That you should know
Cuz, cuz, cuz
'Cause you and me were meant to be, destiny
Truth complete, you and me, destiny

Coming from a place of peace
Gotta keep it all together (Together)
Change your heart and shape the weather
Change your mind and make it what?
See, I’m coming from a place of peace
I gotta keep it all together
Change your heart and shape the what?
I guess I've let the world effect me and people correct me
For the wrongs that could have been right half the night
I stayed up screamin' when I could have been dreamin'
Spilling all of these who's and what's like a night owl
Moonlight beaming on the walls casting shadows on the wall
Like ping pongs with spike paddles
See the players never cared about the rules of the game
Modified all the books and now all the tools changed
Even cool individuals start to act strange
And nowadays I keep 'em all at close range
Come to find out you see this whole game
Has nothing to do with the passion of our whole aim
So I was like what the ****?
Who the ****?
Where the **** do we all begin?
I can't run the same laps around the same bend
Without changing the patterns of the man within
I’m like what the ****? (Say what?)
Who the ****?
Where the **** do we all begin?
I can't run the same laps around the same bend
Without changing the patterns of the, you know.
See, now I’m coming from a place of peace (Coming from a place of peace)
Gotta keep it all together (Gotta keep it all)
Change your heart and shape the weather (Change your heart and shape the weather)
Change your mind and make it betta (Change your mind and make it betta)
See, now I’m coming from a place of peace (I’m coming from a place of peace)
Gotta keep it all together (I gotta keep it all)
Change your heart and shape the weather (Change your heart and shape the what?)
Change your mind and make it betta
Can’t be dealing with it
Way I’m feeling it
I'll be damned if I work another nine to five
Just trying to barely stay alive in this rat race
Wake up every morning with a wack face
‘Cause the boss (Hey, how’s it going?) on the job really lacks taste and compassion
I feel like shssh, thanks for askin'
As I turn my clown mask in
Punch the clock out, let the jazz rock out
Before I lose my cool and get your uh-huh knocked out
Or locked up it ain't worth all the bucks
If it don't don’t make you feel love struck
True hearts are never stuck it's the grace of the true self
That, that woke me up
I’m like like what the ****?
Who the ****?
Where the **** do we all begin?
I can't run the same laps around the same bend
Without changing the patterns of the man within
I’m like what the ****? (Say what?)
Who the ****?
Where the **** do we all begin?
I can't run the same laps around the same bend

See, now I’m coming from a place of peace (Coming from a place of peace)

Change your mind and make it betta (Change your mind and make it betta)
See, now I’m coming from a place of peace (I’m coming from a place of peace)
Gotta keep it all together (Gotta keep it all)
Change your heart and shape the weather (Change your heart and shape the weather)
Change your mind and make it betta
Coming from a place of peace
I gotta keep it all together
Change your heart and shape the weather (Say what)
Conditioned to react like maniacs
’Til a wise man kicked the fact of what was lackin'
Realigned my whole mind state and kept stackin'
Knowledge to the highest vibration since it has been
At a low so I pump the decibolts
To the extreme crazy as it seems
Sharpening the craft adds richness to the cream
You know what I mean
See now I was like what the ****?
Who the ****?
Where the **** do we all begin?
I can't run the same laps around the same bend
Without changing the patterns of the man within
I’m like what the ****? (Say what?)
Who the ****?
Where the **** do we all begin?
I can't run the same laps around the same bend

Who does see the twisted shadows fall
Encapturing minds
Who hears the youth call from my
Block niggers to suburban kids
I know this world weighs heavy
On your low set lids
This is for dark nights and sharp blades
For mountains of pain and your tear stained face
This is for every time they beat you every time they lied
Every time you suffered and every time you cried
This is for broken dreams shadowed with precision
Misunderstood visions, lives christened, imprisoned
Dismiss them
You were never meant to understand
Tag on every wall and kiss the sky when you can
For information work them
They’ll trace the outline of your soul when you desert them
Cause they don’t know the trouble that you’ve seen
And who cares tonight
Life is but a dream
It’s gonna be ok
Alright
Free your mind
If only for the night
Gonna be ok
Alright
You don’t have to cry tonight
Best to free your mind, ‘fore they bleed you like the rest
With guns and daggers it’s a slow silent death
While breathlessly await for the world to fall
It’s not gonna happen and you hemmed against the walls of your
Own design they cross all space and time
Who caused the vision who drew the line
Findin’ it hard to breath
Got bruises on the knees from prayin’ to leave, please
Conceiving ways to escape the venom
The biggest fight is for your life is for your next gen, defend ‘em
The rules, bend them cause they gon keep pretendin’
Every breath you take is worthless all endings no beginnings, bells ringing
No need to read braille, you shall prevail
Ok
Alright
Free your mind
If only for the night
Gonna be ok
Alright
You don’t have to fight tonight
You shall prevail
Cuts for luck and
Scars for freedom
They will never feel your pain
So you’ll defeat them
World in your eyes
Ready to fly
You must make it through the next day
Defeat them
Feeling used and abused quite confused
It’s really all about you and the way you wanna move
Those chains that seem to bind you
Let me remind you
The power’s in the people
Every moment’s perfect timing
You visualize death
Now visualize your life
You looked into the dark
Now look into the light
Cause they don’t know the trouble that you’ve seen
And who cares tonight
Life is but a dream
It’s gonna be ok
Alright
Free your mind
If only for the night
Gonna be ok
Alright
Let your light shine tonight
You shall prevail

10 million ways for me to rock a rhyme
Rock a what?
10 million ways for me to rock a rhyme
And some
10 million ways for me to rock a rhyme
10 million ways for me to open minds
Brotha doing what he can son and some
Expanding on the previous
Living devious and dirty
Thirty something
Or another brother
Doing all he can son
Handsome
Never ever mad a man one
Like a brain does
Scars and the pain was
Just a stepping stone
Careful who I'm stepping on
And keep stepping strong
Other wise you stepping wrong
God damn these baby steps
Is long or I got short legs
And a lot of time
Delirious just loosing my mind
Curious about these future times
10 Million ways for me to rock a rhyme
So I proceed I Proceed
10 million ways for me to rock a rhyme
So I proceed to drop lines
10 million ways for me to open minds
Brotha doing what he can son and some
10 million ways for me to rock a rhyme
So I proceed to drop lines
10 million ways for me to open minds
Brotha doing what he can son and some
Everybody wanna give a little
Live a little
Be a little bigger than before
See a little more
And struggle a lot less
For sure
See the struggles of these times
Are minuteness
I've been cleaning up my act till it's spotless
I quest for the soul fire
Taking me not just above but beyond
See what frequency we on
I knew we were the one for eons
It's so hard for some to see
When your frantic in a panic
Taking your life for granted
Can't stand it
Controlled by the
Dips and the woes
Paying tolls for a past that
You don't even owe
Playing rolls
Keep dwelling in cells where time
Froze
Start airing out your life on this
Clothes line
Right here is soul time
10 million ways for me to rock a what?
10 million ways for me to rock a rhyme
So I proceed to drop lines
10 million ways for me to open minds
Brotha doing what he can son and some
10 million ways for me to rock a rhyme
So I proceed to drop lines
10 million ways for me to open minds
Brotha doing what he can son and some
Ain't nothing to it
But to do it
I see the opposition and
Move right through it
I let the sun rays
Clear up the haze
I'm so amazed by the many ways
Blessings cascade
On my parade making marmalade
After the juice see how many
Hearts I induce
Ten million stars that the Gods have made
Rise like the sun and we're far from shade
10 million ways for me to rock a rhyme
So I proceed to drop lines
10 million ways for me to open minds
Brotha doing what he can son and some
10 million ways for me to rock a rhyme
So I proceed to drop lines
10 million ways for me to open minds
Brotha doing what he can son and some

No call me steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light
No call me steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light
Rays begin to penetrate I speculate what is the fate of the human race
Ain’t is out of place is no way to trace roots of the name sake
From pyramids and sacrament trans planets and situations in
Penile nation emancipation reconstruct it’s the craps in the bucket
Should I say – and roll with the rugged
Streets be tuggin at my boots it’s hard to get loose
So much fall to see through I feel modern day blues in the background
What if I found a way to get back into the underground
You know I lounge for a second I reckon the lesson suggests that will teach me
To reach into the book and climb to understand the time emanating grime
Won’t the flocks come find the beast and shine the light
Come near, come now, I fly
No call me steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light,
Steppin’ into, steppin’ into, steppin’ into the light
Modern day blues in the background
Steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light,
Steppin’ into, steppin’ into, steppin’ into the light
No call me steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light,
Steppin’ into, steppin’ into, steppin’ into the light
Modern day blues in the background
Steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light,
Steppin’ into, steppin’ into, steppin’ into the light
If all the heavies were bald I’d probably chuckle
But please don’t take my lightly brothers knees and bound or buckle
Gimme that mic I’ll shine my aura from my oratory legacy
In for those who know they need a break from sleepin’
Levels leap instead of weak it’s called survival back on arrival
Live and where we sew we’re brute ‘cause it be best check the situation our first move
I know you feel so grab my words and listen here
There ain’t no reason to be trippin’ get that outta here
No call me steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light,
Steppin’ into, steppin’ into, steppin’ into the light
Step with these
Steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light,
Steppin’ into, steppin’ into, steppin’ into the light
Step with these
No call me steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light,
Steppin’ into, steppin’ into, steppin’ into the light
Step, step with these
Steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light,
Steppin’ into, steppin’ into, steppin’ into the light
It’s u-ni-versal moving in waves we go in circles
While we be thriving off of sun rays
Haze, late night dreams of visions, conditions that confrontation no position which is necessary for this very mission
Listen, I’d advise you to be wise when you see this composition rise from the depths of solar source, so hold your thoughts and close your eyes
Course, this helps you concentrate, so please, take a deep breath and freeze for the light and step and step with these
Into the light, into the lights (Step into the light)
Into the light, into the lights
Into the light, into the lights
Step into the light, into the lights (Into the light)
No call me steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light,
Steppin’ into, steppin’ into, steppin’ into the light
Steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light,
Steppin’ into, steppin’ into, steppin’ into the light
No call me steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light,
Steppin’ into, steppin’ into, steppin’ into the light
Steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light,
Steppin’ into, steppin’ into, steppin’ into the light
Because my fisticuffs beat up
Zitsy cruffs need a band aid
And glade to polish
Their tarnished styles while I demolish
And mash ‘em into a mess
Then fling dem in the rubbish
And burn ‘em ’til there’s ashes
Then when the wind whips (which is my flow)
They go way into separate stashes
Realisin’ I’m rising while they’re dematerializing
Can’t dig a sepulture
Ya worthless to a vulture
Who’s culture is older and colder
Than a fossil found in Antartica.
Who chant artically
Styles freaky funky?
Uniquely. New Yorkly
Only this raggamuffin talks so kid
OTO’s in the place and you don’t quit
We bounce Ini Kamoze-wise with roots and not forth right
Dah nah nah. Here comes the hot step in to the light
No call me steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light,
Steppin’ into, steppin’ into, steppin’ into the light
Look how we
No call me steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light,
Steppin’ into, steppin’ into, steppin’ into the light
Look how we
No call me steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light,
Steppin’ into, steppin’ into, steppin’ into the light
Steppin’ into the light, steppin’ into the light,
Steppin’ into, steppin’ into, steppin’ into the light
(People)
Step with these (People)
Modern day blues in the background
Step, step with these (People)
Step, step with these (People)
Modern day blues in the background
(People)
(People)
Shine my aura from my oratory legacy
(People)
(People)
Into the light, into the lights
(People)
Into the light, into the lights

Loving you is like bullets in the rain
Ain't nowhere for you to hide I'll always see you again
Know you need to stop denying yourself
All the sweeter things in life money can't buy
'Cause you and me were meant to be, destiny
Truth complete, you and me, destiny
Wanting you is like the sun behind the clouds
Forever burning silent and proud
Perhaps I'm just deceiving myself I need to start running away
The worlds so crazy it's a dangerous place to love these days
So you and me were meant to be, destiny
Truth complete, you and me, destiny
Needing you is like hunger with no name
Endlessly aching with no words to explain
Perhaps we're just playing ourselves and love is the ultimate game
You are my deepest dream guess this price I pay
You and me looking in your eyes I see, I see, destiny
'Cause you and me were meant to be, destiny
Truth complete, you and me, destiny

“I had taken a look through the Supa Crucial vaults and found some forgotten gems. Some were limited vinyl releases that had never been digitized, others had been released on other labels that no longer existed or had never been released, but the love was never lost. So this compilation brought an era of my downtempo remixes and rarities together.” - The Angel
This album charts many of the collaborations throughout The Angel’s career, including the one-time Garth Trinidad (KCRW) favorite by Jaz Klash, “Thru The Haze (The Angel Remix),” her jazzy jungle collaboration with Bristol’s More Rockers, as well as remixes courtesy of DJ Drez, who gives both versions of The Angel’s “Destiny Complete” feat Mystic, the Jahta treatment.
Divine Styler appears on the album on both sides of the mixing board; remixing The Angel’s “Make It Betta” (feat Tre Hardson), originally a limited vinyl only release, while also guesting on vocals on “Act As If” (Act I and Act III) mixes.
The Dread Flimstone & Pale Face remix redub of 60 Channels’ “Ride With The Flow,” originally a limited vinyl only release, the O.G. version of which was featured in the TV shows “Six Feet Under” and “La Femme Nikita.”
Headset’s (Plug Research) previously unreleased remix of “OK...Alright” by Mystic is available here for the first time, as is “10 Million Ways,” by Tre Hardson both produced by The Angel.
